"The Choreography of Us" is a game. Two participants are invited to fly two drones simultaneously. The drones are tied together by a fragile line. Participants have to be aware of the rules of this game. The main goal is to maintain the flight without falling, colliding or knocking down the other participant. However, one should be careful not to fly too far or too high because the tension and reach of the line that bond them together can potentially lead to an accident. Therefore, the operation required to win the drone game implies a mutual consent: an empathy. In order to success, the choreography in play must be carefully synchronized. The difference between success and failure depends entirely on the fragile relationship between the two participants. There is no winning or losing in this game, both players either succeed or fails at the same time. Based on these insights, this project is an attempt to think about play and empathy as possible way to resolve intersubjective conflicts. |
"La Coreografía de Nosotros" es un juego. Dos participantes son invitados a volar drones de juguete de forma simultanea. Los drones están conectados por una frágil cuerda. Los participantes deben ser conscientes sobres las reglas del juego: El objetivo principal de este juego es mantener el vuelo sin caer, colisionar o derribar al otro participante. Sin embargo, los participantes también deben ser cuidadosos porque la tensión y distancia de la línea que conecta los drones también puede hacerlos caer. Por lo tanto, ganar en este juego implica un consentimiento mutuo: un acto de empatía. Para poder ganar, la coreografía debe ser cuidadosamente sincronizada. La diferencia entre ganar y perder depende completamente en la frágil relación entre los dos participantes. A partir de estas observaciones, esta pieza a través de la noción de colaboración pretende posicionar el juego y la empatía como posibles formas de resolución de conflictos intersubjetivos.
