This work is a multi-channel 3D stereoscopic film that aims to highlight and criticize one aspect of the Naturalization Interview and Test. For the USCIS, proficiency in English proves not only that the applicants know the right answers for the questions, but also that they know the correct way in which to articulate the answers. The interplay between English language and US history shows that the "U.S. history and civics test," is a cruel strategy that serves as an obfuscation of the idea that language constructs history, but also that history builds the notion of English language. The film shows the inside view of a USCIS's interview. The piece aims to reveal how problematic it's to produce a pattern to determine and shape U.S. national identity. The film aims to provide reinterpretations to understand USCIS's operations of control.

"N-400 The application for Naturalization" es una película 3D estereoscópica multi-canal que revelar las múltiples fallas de las operaciónes de sometimiento que sustentan los materiales multimedia creados por USCIS. La película presenta la "mirada interior" de una falsa entrevista de naturalización norteamericana. En la entrevista, un oficial de inmigración aplica el "U.S. History and Civics test", el cual es uno de los requisitos más importantes para obtener la naturalización. De esta forma, la pieza busca revelar los problemas relacionados a la creación de un patrón, usado para determinar y moldear la identidad nacional norteamericana. El lenguaje y la construcción de la historia son estrategias contra-discursivas en este proyecto. La pieza presenta un nuevo escenario basado en las circunstancias sugeridas por USCIS, mientras que al mismo tiempo abre interpretaciones y proporciona información adicional para entender el sitio de control.
